Who we are

Measure My Edge (“we”, “us”) is a trading journal and strategy-analysis tool operated from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. We are responsible for the personal data described here. Questions or requests: hello@measuremyedge.com.

What we collect

Account details — your name, email address and password (stored only as a secure hash by our authentication provider), or your Google account name and email if you sign in with Google. We also record when you accepted our Terms & Disclaimer and which version.
What you put into the app — your strategies, setups and rules; trades and outcomes you record; watchlists; and chart screenshots you upload for analysis, together with the AI’s analysis of them.
TradingView connection (optional) — if you connect TradingView, we store access tokens (encrypted) so we can read your watchlists and chart data when you ask us to. You can disconnect at any time in Settings, which deletes the tokens.
Billing — your plan, subscription status and a Stripe customer reference. Card details are entered on Stripe’s pages and handled by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.
Usage and technical data — how many analyses you’ve used, the cost of each AI analysis, and standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and timestamps) kept by our hosting provider for security and troubleshooting. We also note which country you’re visiting from, to decide whether to show the cookie banner.

Why we use it

To run the service: your account, your journal and analytics, AI chart analysis and position sizing.
To take payment and manage your subscription.
To send essential emails, such as confirming your email address and resetting your password.
To keep the service secure, prevent abuse (for example, rate limits on scans) and fix problems.
To measure which of our ads bring people to the site — only with your consent where the law requires it (see Cookies).

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your trades or strategies to advertise to you.

AI analysis

When you run a scan, the chart images you upload (or the TradingView candle data you select) and your strategy’s rules are sent to Anthropic, our AI provider, to produce the analysis. Anthropic processes this data to return the result under its commercial terms, which do not permit it to use this data to train its models. Don’t include personal information in chart screenshots.

Who processes your data

We use these providers to run the service. Each only receives what it needs for its part:

Supabase — database, sign-in and file storage (your account, journal and chart images), hosted in Singapore.
Vercel — website hosting.
Anthropic — AI chart analysis.
Stripe — payments and subscriptions.
Resend — sending account emails (confirmation, password reset).
Google — “Continue with Google” sign-in, and Google Ads measurement if you consent.
TradingView — only if you choose to connect your TradingView account.
Telegram — only if you turn on auto-scan alerts and connect Telegram: your Telegram chat ID and username, and the alert text (instrument, verdict, proposed levels).

Your account data is stored in Singapore. Some providers (for example our AI, payment and email providers) may process data in other countries, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the providers’ standard contractual clauses.

Cookies and similar technologies

Essential — sign-in session cookies that keep you logged in, and a cookie recording your country (used only to decide whether to show the cookie banner). The app can’t work without the sign-in cookies.
Preferences — small settings saved in your browser, such as light/dark theme, your cookie choice and how the scan review is laid out.
Advertising measurement — Google Ads cookies that tell us when a visit from one of our ads leads to a sign-up or subscription. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland these are off until you accept. Elsewhere they are on by default and you can turn them off.

You can change your choice at any time using “Cookie settings” at the bottom of our pages or in the app’s menu.

How long we keep it

We keep your account data while your account is open. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your account, journal, strategies and uploaded charts, except records we must keep for legal, tax or accounting reasons (such as billing records), which we keep only as long as the law requires.

Your choices and rights

You can view and edit most of your data in the app, disconnect TradingView in Settings, and change your cookie choice at any time. You can also ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete your account, or stop using it for ad measurement — email hello@measuremyedge.com and we’ll respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live (for example under Malaysia’s Personal Data Protection Act, the EU/UK GDPR, or US state privacy laws), you may have further rights, including the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, access to your data is restricted to your account by database security rules, and sensitive tokens (such as TradingView access) are stored encrypted. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will tell you if a breach affects you where the law requires.

Children

Measure My Edge is for adults. It isn’t intended for anyone under 18, and we don’t knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we’ll update the date above and, for significant changes, let you know by email or in the app.
